Busy time in Utopia

It's been a busy time in Utopia this week. In fact I think I have reached peak Utopia as every project I'm working on seems to have a utopian dimension. I'm a little behind with the Blogging at the moment as there is to much happening. I got chance to speak to Edmund de Waal last night and we talked about writing and making. I suggested that there was a correlation to writing and making - as I make more my ability to write reduces and vice a versa. Edmund writes great books and makes great pots but I did sense that he got what I was talking about. We make Faustian contract when we over commit to a material or a process. Or perhaps it's just a bit of state tolerated OCD. Either way I was quite please with the Utopian box film on wheels which we pushed down to the adventure playground from my back yard. I've put a bit of the soundtrack of the Werner Herzog film Fitzcoraldo under the general wheeling noises- as Johan so astutely pointed out "No church bell will ring here anymore before I have built an opera".
